General description of the timber element
Horizontal chase for a timber in the floor, between the two stone bases, that used to stabilize the timber frame structure (See Str1112 and Str1084). It is described in the bibliography by Palyvou, it is now not visible.

Palyvou 2019, p.143 "το κατώφλι είναι επιχρισμένο με παχύ στρώμα λευκού ασβεστοκονιάματος, που διακόπτεται προς την πλευρά του Χώρου Ι.5 με εγκοπή, πλάτους 0,14μ. και βάθους 0,04μ. (εικ. 129). Στην εγκοπή αυτή υπήρχε οριζόντιο ξύλο, πακτωμένο στο πάτωμα και σφηνωμένο ανάμεσα στις λαξευτές βάσεις των παραστάδων της πόρτας. H παρουσία του ξύλου αυτού αποσκοπεί στη σταθεροποίηση του πλαισίου και την αποτροπή ολίσθησης, ενώ κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα έφερε και τους ξύλινους πόλους περιστροφής των θυρόφυλλων. H πόρτα ήταν κλειστή την ώρα της καταστροφής και στο Ημερολόγιο της ανασκαφής αναφέρεται ότι το φύλλο είχε πάχος 0,03μ."
