Description of the window frame
A large window on the exterior south wall of room I.1/2. It is a 3d loadbearing timber structure in rubble wall with an ashlar frame. The upper part of the opening was missing, and is now reconstructed in concrete, as are the main timber elements, following the imprints. The rubble masonry above the lintel is also reconstructed. According to the structural typology there would also be horizontal transversal timber elements that are not reconstructed, and their evidence is not visible.
