General description of the hole
Hole in west rubble wall, evidence of the main beam that supported the end of the third flight of stairs, transversal to the string wall. The other end of the beam was supported in the east wall of room I.1/2 which is partly collapsed, though an imprint of the beam is visible in the debris under the staircase (see Tim 758). The dimensions of the beam were approximately 3,00x0,20x0,25.
