General description of the pier
At the NW free end of the NE wall of Room III (SE part of the wall), measuring 2.35 x 0.65 x 1.10 m., there is a pier-jamb of mudbrick with a pair imprints/chases at the NE and SW side of the jamb respectively. The imprints correspond to vertical timber elements, located at the point where the rubble part of the wall is connected to the pier-jamb. The current appearance is the result of restoration.
