General description of the vertical timber reinforcement system
The first (preserved) course of the NW wall of the room is of poros-stones, based on a rubble stone base (krepis). Centrally located, at the SE side of the wall, there is a chase, possibly of a vertical timber element. The current appearance is the result of restoration.
