General description of the timber element

Based on the general plan of the palace, there was a pier 2.30 m. to the SW of the hole that has been identified as a column "holder" and 3.47 m. to the NE from the preserved stone base of the pier to the SW. All the aforementioned elements were part of the SE portico/stoa of the Central Court. Only the substrate of the base of the pier is preserved. The current appearance, giving the impression of three steps at the point is the result of restoration.
