General description of the structural unit

Pier and door partition in Room XXXVII, leading to the lightwell at the SW part of the room. It is consisted of five openings, i.e. of four piers between grand piers at both ends of the structural unit. Only the stone bases of the polythyron and the substrate of the thresholds are preserved in situ. No remains of the timber elements of the piers are preserved. Its current appearance is the result of restoration work (between the stone bases).
