General description of the base
It is located at intermediate position at the polythyron and it is 0.80 m. from the stone base to the NW and approx. 2.80 m. from the SE end of the wall. It has been identified as the stone base of the vertical timber element of the polythyron at this point. No remains of the timber part of the pier is preserved.
