General description of the chase / cuvity
Vertical timber element extending to the entire preserved height of the SE mud-brick wall of Room LI (the wall between Rooms LI and LIV). It is located on the NW side of the wall and it was part of a vertical timber reinforcement system. No similar timber element has been recorded on the other side of the wall. It is 0.77 m. from the NE end of the wall and 0.72 m. from the preserved vertical timber element to the SW. Its appearance is the result of restoration during excavation and of the erosion that suffered from that time onwards.
