General description of the free-standing pier
Part of a mud-brick pier located at the eastern corner of the NE portico of the Central Court. This pier is not captured in the general plan of the palace (1974), hence its original place is not certain. It has been placed on the pavement of the portico, on the NW-SE axis of the collonade giving the impression that it is part of it. Two imprints of vertical timber elements are preserved: one at its NE side and another at its SW side, as the pier has been placed.
