General description of the base
Cylindrical stone base of a timber column, which is part of the portico to the NE of the Central Court. It is set on the pavement of the portico at a distance of 1.49 m. from the pier jamb to the NW and 3.68 m. from the column base to the SE. The current appearance is the result of conservation and restoration work.
