General description of the chase / cuvity
Restored longitudinal horizontal timber element on the SW side of the NE wall of the Central Court. It is part of the timber reinforcement system of the wall serving as the base of two vertical timber elements. It is located approx. 1.80 m. from the NW end of the wall and at 0.08 m. height from the threshold of the entrance to Room XXXII. The chase/cuvity has been filled in with modern material (plaster) and its current appearance is the result of restoration.
