General description of the chase / cuvity
Restored vertical timber element on the SW side of the NE wall of the Central Court. It is part of the timber reinforcement system of the wall. It is located 0.40 m. from the vertical timber element to the NW and 1.55 m. from the vertical timber element to the SE. It is based on an horizontal timber element. The chase/cuvity has been filled in with modern material (plaster) and its current appearance is the result of restoration.
