General description of the chase / cuvity
Restored vertical timber element on the SW side of the NE wall of the Central Court. It is part of the timber reinforcement system of the wall. It is located 2.20 m. from the NW end of the wall, to the NE of the entrance to Room XXXI, based on an horizontal timber element. The chase/cuvity has been filled in with modern material (plaster) and its current appearance is the result of restoration.
