General description of the vertical timber reinforcement system

The part of the NE wall of the Central Court (SE part of the wall) is of ashlar masonry consisting mostly of rectangular lime-stones. Mud-bricks are also used. The wall continues further to the NW into Room XXXI. This part of the wall (NW) is of mud-bricks on a rubble-stone base. At the SW side of the SE part of the wall, corresponding to the Central Court, there was a vertical timber reinforcement system that has been restored, consisting in total of five timbers (four verticals and one horizontal serving as the base of the two). Its current appearance is the result of restoration.
