General description of the imprint
Vertical timber element of the door-frame at the opening leading from Room/Corridor Xχ to Room XXVIII. It is located on the SW side of the NE wall of Room Χχ, at a distance of 1.04 m. from the NW end of the mud-brick wall ("defined" by the rubble stone cladding of the wall on its SW side) and 0.23 m. from the SW end of the wall. The base of the vertical timber element has been captured in the general plan of the site (published in 1974) but it is not preserved in situ. This structural unit was probably connected to the nearby timber door-frame of the opening leading from the area of Room XXVI to Room/Corridor Χχ. Its current appearance is the result of restoration.
