General description of the chase / cuvity

At the NE end of the partition wall in Room XXIV (Lustral Basin), on its SE side, right next to the "pier"/jamb at the SE end of the NE wall of Room XXIV (to the SW), a vertical rectangular (plank-like) chase/imprint has been restored. This was either part of a timber cladding at that area of the wall or part of a vertical timber reinforcement system connected probably with the timber column at the SW end of the wall. Its current appearance is the result of restoration.
