General description of the structural unit

At the SW end of the partition wall in Room XXIV (Lustral Basin), described by the excavator as "balustrade", a square base of a timber column has been restored. The masonry/material of the base, described by the excavator as a "jamb" and covered by the restoration material, is not recorded. Its current appearance is the result of heavy restoration work.
