General description of the chase / cuvity

Vertical timber element on the SE side/face of the NW wall of Room XXIV, on the part of the wall of mud-brick masonry from the ground level of the West Wing up. The lower part of the wall is of rubble stone masonry. This vertical timber element is located opposite the vertical timber element of the southern corner of the SW wall of Room XXIII and was possibly connected to it on a higher level (not preserved). The distance from the chase of the wall to the NE is 0.84 m. and 0.64 from the SW end of the wall. Its appearance is the result of restoration.
