General description of the pier
Mudbrick pier at the SW end of the SE wall of Room XII (the wall between Rooms X and XII), based on a limestone rectangular slab. The west corner of the pier was reinforced with a vertical beam, based on the same slab. The imprint of the beam on the west corner of the mud-brick pier is preserved. Although there is no relevant reference in the excavations reports, a recess in the wall right next to the pier to the North, could be for the adjustment of another timber element.
