General description of the space
Room XVII is located in the so-called "SW Expansion" of the palace (Rooms XVII-XXI). It was accessible from Room XXI providing access to the upper floor via an L-shaped staircase to the NE as well as to Room XIX through a 'polythyron' (pier and door partition) on the the NW wall of the room.
