General description of the space
Space VIII, on the north part of the West Wing of the palace, is part of the palatial storeroom system, which can be compared with the "Corridor of the Bays" at Knossos. The excavator describes it as an "open niche" or a "bay" on the eastern side of the corridor leading from Room IX to the storerooms of the palace.
