General description of the space

Room I is located on the north part of the West Wing of the palace. It a rectangural room belonging to the palatial storeroom system, which can be compared to the "Corridor of the Bays" at Knossos. Room I is accessible from Room V, which is at the end of a corridor leading from Room IX to the storerooms of the palace. According to the excavator, on the NW wall of the room, which consists part of the western facade of the palace, there was a window facilitating lighting and ventilation for the room interior.
