General description of the space

Room XIX, measuring approximately 6 x 7 m. and located in the southernmost part of the West Wing, next to the Central Court, is accessible via Room XXVIII. The decoration of the floor is similar to that of the "Ceremonial Hall" (Room XXVIII) with a part of it divided into grid-squares. The excavator, based on the wall-painting decoration, the floor decoration and the finds, suggested the special function of Room XIX, possibly as a "Banquet Hall".
