Position in the space

Within the masonry of the wall between Space I10 and Space III 15. The pier is placed between the two phases of the wall, that is between the ashlar course and the mudbrick one. Yet it seems that in the exact spot where the pier was placed, it was visible. Its position was carved in the space between two adjacent ashlar sandstones, mid - length along both Spaces I10 and III15.

Description of the connection of the structural unit with other structural units

The pier is placed within the masonry, namely, within the two courses forming the different architectural phases of this wall. Moreover, it is placed at the East edge of what seems like an opening on the ashlar masonry - yet, is it not clear what the shape and function of that opening may have been. The post may have been part of a larger structure comprising a similar post placed within the same masonry, at the west edge of the alleged opening; also, a a pier of similar dimensions right opposite, at the end of the partition wall forming the West end of Space III 15.
