The column is built in the East wall of Space III 2, one of the walls supporting Staircase III B
Connection of the free-standing column with surrounding structural units (walls, beams above, floor above, etc.)
The column is built inside the East wall of Space III2. Along with two other columns in this space, one on the same side and one in the West wall, this column belongs to an earlier architectural phase pf Space III2, before it was partially replaced by the Staircase II B, and the openings between the columns blocked. Thus, the column probably played an auxiliary role in the support of the overlaying staircase.
