General description of the space
Roughly rectangular space (4,00 x 2,70 - 2,75 m), located on the underground level, below the Space I 3 bis. It is only accessible via the staircase I C. The walls are preserved at a height of 1,80 to 2,05 m, and are coated in blue. The floor is well preserved and also coated in blue.
On the Eastern wall there is a system of skirtings / protrusions at different levels, which meet the steps of the staircase.
Attached to the Southern wall are two built pedestals, which bore three wooden pots.
In the space are found three more skirtings / protrusions: one in the North-Eastern corner, of approximately triangular form; one in the South-Eastern corner, rectangular and prolonging the skirting system of the staircase; finally, one in the South-Western corner, in the shape of a circular portion and bearing a cup in its center.
A wooden floor covered this room, separating it from Space I 3 bis above.
This room looks like the "ancestor" of the Neopalatial lustral basins of Crete.
