General description of the space
A U-shaped staircase, of which only part of the first flight survives. The walls, along with the steps, were coated in red. The first flight comprises four steps, still in place, and three more that have fallen inside Space II 1 bis. The first step, protruding into Space I1, is made by a green limestone slab same as the stone used for the floor of I1. On the second step there was a door with two door-leaves; traces of the doorframe are visible, while the step's lap made for the threshold.
